Please read all terms and conditions before making a custom costume order:
General Custom Costume Information:
- All sales are final and costumes cannot be returned or exchanged.
- Kelly Sews Love, LLC will not replicate another designer's costume out of respect for their work. You can share inspirational photos for color, silhouette, and style guidance. Kindly note that by hiring Kelly Sews Love, LLC, you are commissioning a unique, special, and one-of-a-kind creation.
- We can reproduce our previous designs, however, please note that embellishments may vary slightly. Because our work is custom-made, it is not feasible to replicate it exactly.
- We will communicate regarding your order through our email address at jazzhands@comcast.net. Please ensure that we have your current and active email address on file.
- Final balances must be settled within 1 week of receiving your invoice; failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of your deposit and costume.
- Costumes will be shipped only after the final balance is paid.
- We will provide your shipment's tracking number. Shipping delays caused by carriers are beyond our control. Depending on the packaging, weight, and size of the costume, shipping costs will range from $15-25. Duet and Trio costumes can be shipped to one address to save on shipping cost.
- We do not accept returns or exchanges for custom costumes. Once you receive your costume, it becomes your responsibility as it belongs to you. Kelly Sews Love, LLC is not liable for any repairs needed due to wear and tear. Please be aware that some feathers, rhinestones, beading, sequins, and other embellishments may come loose during performances due to the nature of dance choreography. Should there be any fit issues, Kelly Sews Love, LLC will address them on a case-by-case basis. Any fit concerns must be reported within 5 days of receiving the costume.
Reservation Process for Solos/Duets/Trios:
- Select and buy your preferred shipping date. Ensure that the chosen date allows for at least a 3-week gap before your first performance in the costume.
- The $150 payment acts as a non-refundable deposit. $120 of that will be deducted from the total costume cost. $30 is for the design sketch and consultation.
- Each reservation corresponds to one costume. Duets/Trios should input the accurate quantity. For instance, to book a duet, purchase 2 deposits of $150 each, totaling $300.
Pricing for Solos/Duets/Trios:
- Custom orders begin at $375, with prices increasing based on design complexity and embellishment levels.
- Detailed price quotes will be provided after your design consultation. If you have a budget, please inform us during the design consultation.
Pricing for Groups:
- Custom costume bases start at $100-125 and deluxe custom costumes start at $225-250 with prices increasing based on design complexity and embellishment levels.
- To purchase custom group costumes, please schedule a design consultation via email at jazzhands@comcast.net Please be sure to include in the email studio name, contact person, quantity, budget, and any design specifications or requests.
- Detailed price quotes will be provided after your design consultation.
- Custom group costumes will utilize our standard size chart available HERE. It is essential to accurately measure your dancers. For younger dancers, it is advisable to account for growth throughout the season. Customizable sizing options are offered at an extra $15 per costume for dancers requiring adjustments, such as those with longer torsos who need additional room, particularly in leotards or one-piece costumes.
Design Consultation:
- Deluxe Custom orders will include a design consultation. This meeting must take place 12-15 weeks prior to the shipping date.
- Custom Costume Base orders will include a design consultation. This meeting must take place 8-10 weeks prior to the shipping date.
- For local dancers or those willing to travel, in-person design consultations are available. During these consultations, our team will take your measurements and offer fabric swatch books for you to explore.
- Group costumes include a design consultation.
- If customers are local or willing to travel, in person consultations are available.
- A follow up email will include a costume design sketch and measurement form or measurements for those that did an in person design consultation. You will have one week to approve or request modifications to the design and submit measurements if applicable.
- Missing deadlines may result in order cancellation, lose of deposit, and/or delay in shipping.
- We are not liable for ill-fitting costumes due to inaccurate measurements or growth spurts. Please provide accurate measurements. If you would like to have room for growth, please let us know during the design consultation.
- By purchasing your deposit, you agree to all the listed terms and conditions.
Sizing:
- Custom sizing is included for deluxe custom solo, duet, and trio costumes only.
- We offer a size chart for custom costume bases and group costumes, which do not come with custom sizing. However, custom sizing can be arranged for an extra fee, whether it's for a single dancer or the entire group.
